In Uganda, students do not have to pay fees if they are in a government school. They do, however, have to provide their own pens, exercise books and uniforms. They also have to pay examination fees. Even these costs are out-of-reach for many families, and children are pulled out of school and kept at home or sent to work in the garden or to look after younger siblings. Your gift will enable a child to purchase materials, which in turn will help keep him or her in school..
